Massachusetts Unemployment Webcert

The www.mass.gov/dua/webcert is the Web Certification page for the Massachusetts Department of Workforce Development.  This webcert page can be used to certify for unemployment claims if and only if the individual has already opened or reopened a claim.  If you need to open or reopen a claim you can call (617) 626-6800 to do so.  The latter telephone number is good for the residents of Massachusetts that have the following area codes: 508, 978, and 413.  You can also call toll-free at (877) 626-6800.

On Sundays, the www.mass.gov/dua/webcert website is very busy since this is the day that many people use webcert to file their claims.  You therefore may experience some difficulties when trying to enter in your password and user ID and the process may be a bit slower than usual.  You can sign into the program from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. during extended hours or you can use the alternative Telecert application.  Regardless what time you file your claim you will still receive payments as normally scheduled.  You can use the application to file claims, review your payment history, to change your state and federal tax withholdings, to print a copy of your 1099G, and to establish and/or cancel direct deposit.  For more details visit:
